Tamika is a statewide community organizer, artist, and consultant who has strong passion for developing programs, organizations, direct actions, business, and coalitions. Her primary focus is on helping advance marginalized youth, communities & individuals of color, local business, and the community organizations that serve them.
Originally from New York City, she holds Bachelors of Science in Social Work concentrating in Creative Studies and Leadership, as well as, a Masters of Science in the Studies of Creativity, with a concentration in Education, Group Facilitation, and Program Development. Both of her degrees were received from the State University of New York at Buffalo, while studying at the International Center for Creative Studies.
Locally, in North Carolina, she works with various local organizations like Ignite NC, NC Queer People of Color Coalition, and The Tribe, developing and coordinating various local community, statewide, and funding initiatives. In Charlotte, she has partners with West Charlotte High School, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Charlotte, and Citizens Schools helping to develop and implement programs that help advance youth. Additionally, she works with small business to help develop solutions to their marketing, imaging, and product development issues using the Creative Problem Solving Process (CPS).
